I want to clarify one thing.
On any route, based on the probabilities mentioned for damage to ships, it seems that some teams will suffer while other will escape.
So, does this damage depends upon no.of teams taking a particular route?
For eg, prob of damage to a particular ship reduces if no.of ships on the same route is 20, and increases if the no. is only 5....
Also,demand generation is also a func of no.of ships arriving at a particular port. So, will the demand be higher if no.of ships is 20 and lower if the no.is only 5??
Pls clarify this...

Hi,
the damage to the ship is only dependent on the route and doesnot depend on the no. of ships travelling on that route. This means that all the ships travelling on the same route will have equal probability of facing a calamity irrespective of the no. of ships on that route. the probabilities of facing a calamity have been clearly mentioned in the user manual.
On the other hand, demand generation is the function of the no. of teams trading in that product type. that is, for same set of dcisions (same quoted price and same marketers expnditure) the demand generated for each team will be same.

Is it necessary that our last port should be nansita ONLY?
No,you dont have to.
Nansita is the starting/home port.
You have to reach the other 4 ports and the return to Nansita is automated.
Apart from the description given here about the commodities to be traded, we have no information about the various ports. How do we come to know what are the demands patterns there, or the kind of commodities produced there in abundance, otherwise it would be impossible to devise a strategy
